James A. Knapp serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Broward Education Foundation. Mr. Knapp firmly believes that as a united community, we hold the power to shape the future of education, sparking a passion for learning, and unlocking the potential within every young mind.
 
As COO, Mr. Knapp is the conductor of seamless collaborations and the catalyst for impactful partnerships, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, including donors, educators, students, and the community.

I am the Director of Business Development for Chazin & Company.  We are an outsourced accounting company that provides services exclusively to nonprofit organizations.  I was a banker for 20 years and then a Director of Finance and Operations for two large churches, one in Houston, TX and one in Northwest DC.  I moved to this area 2 years ago and I am excited to meet nonprofit leaders in our community.

A native of Ohio, Larry’s family moved to Florida in 1973.  During his senior year at Northeast High School, Larry became a Christian through the ministry of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church.  After university and seminary graduations, Larry and his wife Sandy worked for three years at a new church in Maryland, where their first daughter was born. 
 
For the next twenty-eight years, they served with Mission to the World, first in Mexico City, where their second daughter was born, and then in Guadalajara.  During the Trotters’ time in Mexico, Larry worked as a church-planter, pastor, team leader, country director, teacher, and conference speaker.  He also earned his PhD in Communication.  Seeing that the ministry in Mexico was thriving, the Trotters decided that it was time to return to South Florida to start Florida Coast Church.

Kim Praitano is President & CEO of Gilda's Club South Florida serving 4500 people annually who are impacted by cancer. Kim has spent the majority of her career leading nonprofit organizations in New Jersey prior to moving to Florida 10 years ago.
 

My name is Frank Montano and I am a fairly new hire at Lan Infotech. I have been with Lan for 5 months. Prior to joining Lan Infotech, I spent many years at Microsoft, where I helped our community understand the importance of technology in ensuring the efficiency and security of their businesses, schools, and nonprofits. 
 

I am a retired business executive and have launched a non profit Indian Festival Namaste, to promote Indian Culture, Music and Dance and provide Entertainment with some education. Last year was our inaugural year and we had 10,000 attendees join our event and enjoy all day non stop music, dance, food and shopping. This year we are looking to target a bigger audience of 15,000 attendees.
